Jenny Li has had a lifelong love for the fine arts. Born in China, Jenny has graduated from both Chinese and Canadian fine art universities, majoring in multimedia and computer animation. She graduated from the Hubei Fine Arts University in 1990. At WU Han Music Conservatory, she taught and worked as a graphic designer. Immigrating to Canada, she has also graduated from the Sheridan Post-graduate Multimedia Program in the Honor Program in 1998 as well as studying at the Sheridan Animation Post-graduate Program in 1999.
Before opening her own art school, Jenny worked as a graphic designer and illustrator for multiple publishing companies in Canada. She has also taught fine arts at summer camps such as the Peel Summer Academy University of Toronto – Mississauga from 2002-2012.
Jenny started her drawing school in 2004 and has spent countless hours teaching children, seniors, and everyone in between. Jenny has always been eager to spread her love of the arts. All her students achieve their dreams, with most of them winning art competitions and attending art universities. She has also put on multiple art galleries and competitions to showcase the talent she has cultivated in her students.
Jenny is dedicated to showing others how transformative art can be. She is a firm believer that art is a powerful part of culture and can change the lives of many. She enjoys all forms of the Arts, her specialties being sketching, painting, and multimedia projects.
Jenny personally understands the strength that art has on senior citizens. Jenny’s mother has directly been impacted by the side effects of old age. Her mother was experiencing loneliness, withdrawal, memory loss, and a decline in health. Jenny, feeling unable to help, began teaching art to her mother and her friends. She started a community that supported each other. Jenny quickly saw how art therapy began transforming her mother and the community. She is now committed to bringing that transformation to others!
